People in northern Minnesota have been losing family pets, some in body traps that do not function well enough to kill the animal, and the helpless owner out for a walk with his dog and hearing the poor thing scream, without a gun to put it out of his misery. What is the reason or purpose?

What is wrong with giving the animal a fair chance and going out in the woods to shoot and kill the animal if it is so necessary for it to die? Where is the sport or decency in trapping and letting the poor animal suffer? I heard of this mother wolf wolf trapped in a leg hold trap and her poor pups trying to nurse beside her!!!!

Please stop the torture of these helpless animals! It has been proven that they have a fully developed nervous system and feel pain as much as we do! Will it take a child getting caught in one of these traps to make them illegal?

Animals are not human of course, but it has been proven they feel as much pain as we do! Why are these torture instruments still used? They should be banned in every state! Traps of every kind make US less human! If people use traps, they should first be made to see how they feel. Where are the "brave men" who think trapping is OK? I'll take them on any day! If an animal is that important to wish dead then go out and humanly shoot the animal dead so it does not have to suffer for hour upon hour. Or, have a trapper's pet cat, dog, horse, or even family member get caught in one of his traps and see how HE feels!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sad thing about all of this is, we move into their territory, forcing them out. Forcing them to go elsewheres, and they get killed for it. We should be relocating them, not killing them for our own selfishness.
